Charitable trusts and institutions have played great role in the economic development of our country. One would say that all the successive governments have failed to embark on a program to uplift the masses from abject poverty and have tacitly admitted and accepted the supportive role played by the not-for-profit organisations (NPOs) particularly in health and education sector being unaffordable for the less fortunate.
